PM Modi takes on former ally Chandrababu, during Andhra visit

On his visit to state of Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi squarely attacked Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu.

The political rivalry has peaked now after TDP went its own way severing an alliance with the BJP last year.

PM Modi accused the TDP chief of misusing public money for his several campaign trips and programmes.

He also turned to the state BJP chief Kanna Lakshminarayana and asked as to who is footing the bill for today’s event but then went on to add that BJP workers always pay for their own campaigns.

Earlier, PM Modi landed in Vijaywada’s Gannavaram airport, where he was received by the Governor.

Breaking protocol, no one from Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet was present at the airport.
