President Kovind, Vice President greet citizens on occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted people on Akshay Tritiya. In a tweet, Mr Modi hoped that the festival associated with accomplishment of auspicious works give us the power to fulfill our resolve to conquer the corona epidemic. He also greeted people on Parshuram Jayanti.

President Ram Nath Kovind has greeted all fellow citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In a tweet, Mr. Kovind said this festival is an occasion to strengthen the spirit of fraternity & rededicate ourselves to the service of humanity. He called upon everyone to resolve to deal with Covid-19 by following the guidelines and to work for the well-being of the society & the country.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has greeted everyone on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In a tweet, Mr. Naidu said Eid symbolises the spirit of compassion, charity and brotherhood in our lives. He hoped that this Eid-Ul-Fitr brings peace, health and happiness for all.

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across the country today in a subdued manner amidst Corona virus pandemic. For the second consecutive year, no congregational prayers were held in Eidgahs and Grand Mosques.

Most of the faithfuls offered prayers in their homes this morning in compliance with Covid norms. Eid is celebrated at the culmination of the fasting month of Ramzan. In Kerala and Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir Eid was celebrated yesterday.
