Police claims to have arrested Maoists involved in Kistaram blast

A joint operation of Special Task Force, Central Reserve Police Force and Cobra Battalion successfully nabbed seven of the suspected maoists who are believed to be involved in the Kistaram explosion.

The maoist incident had targeted an anti-landmine vehicle in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district and it resulted in martyrdom of nine of the CRPF personnel.

The arrest of these maoists was confirmed by senior police officials of the state.

According to Bastar Deputy Inspector General of Police P. Sundarraj, the rebels were arrested in a sweep operation launched by the joint forces.

Police have identified the accused as Komram Sade, Madkam Joga, Madkam Hindwa, Mandvi Sukka, Madkam Ganga, Vanjam Aayta and Vanjam Singha, all members of the ‘Jan Militia’ and residents of Kistaram in Sukma.

Police have begun probe after the arrest.
