Suspended for posting criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a whatsapp group, a police constable is now facing inquiry for his ‘objectionable’ post.
The incident is of Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district where constable rank Ramesh Shinde on Sunday posted ‘criticism’ of Modi.
Incidentally, Shinde is bodyguard to the former Minister and Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat.
“The action was taken against Shinde on Saturday after a detailed inquiry by the district police’s cyber cell,” Ranjankumar Sharma, Superintendent of Police, Ahmednagar, told PTI.
It need be recalled that a Bengaluru police constable also faced suspension about a fortnight ago for sharing a Facebook post which appeared to be taking a swipe at PM Narendra Modi.>
