Police cracks case of DU student murder; victim met accused on dating app

Police also claims to have established that the two men met on a dating app

Delhi police claims to have arrested a 25-yr-old man in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Delhi university student.

Police also claims to have established that the two men met on a dating app around 10 days before the murder.

The case began when on Wednesday night itself, the body of the 21-year-old Delhi University student was found in a drain in Dwarka’s Sector 13.

Police believes that the man was killed by the man named Ishrat Ali, in his twenties, on the night of March 22.

Police have grilled Ishrat who confessed that on the night of March 22, he had a fight with the victim over some issue after which he killed the victim with a hammer.

Police concluded that the accused Ishrat must have murdered the DU student and then made the ransom call in a bid to mislead the probe.
