In a shocking case, a senior Delhi Police officer allegedly jumped off police headquarters building.
It later emerged that the police personnel was being treated for depression.
Sources said that the policeman jumped off the tenth floor of the building.
He died on the spot, as per sources.
The man has been identified as Prem Ballabh, well into his fifties.
It was said that Ballabh was an Assistant Commissioner of Police and was posted at the Delhi Police headquarters in the busy ITO area in central Delhi.
Police rushed the body of the officer to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
He had joined Delhi Police as head constable in 1986 and was promoted to the rank of ACP in 2016.>
