Police suspects naxal hand behind mishap involving Maurya Exp

In an accident that may have been caused by the naxals, a 10 metre long rail piece entered from top side of the footboard in 1st GS coach of Maurya Express.

The train was in Lakhisarai, Bihar at the time.

The incident has been confirmed by the Eastern Railway.

It is said that at least one person was killed while 2 others have been injured.

Sources informed that the incident happened on Friday morning near Kiul station in Bihar.

While the injured have been taken to the local hospital, the police is probing the incident.

Police too suspects naxals to be behind the mishap.

It was only after the damaged body was removed that services could be resumed again.

It is also said that the broken railway track piece doesn’t belong to this place which all the more makes it look like a sabotage.
