Policemen, media person die in Dantewada naxal attack, heres more

In another of the naxal attack that took place in restive Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, at least two policemen and a cameraperson from national broadcaster Doordarshan have lost their lives.

The maoist attack is said to have taken place in Dantewada district that is to witness polling next month.

It is learnt that the Doordarshan team was in Dantewada for election coverage.

It is speculated thus that the attack took place in the forests in Aranpur and the team was probably caught in
cross fire.

This attack comes as only three days ago, four soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force died after Maoists
blew up their anti-landmine vehicle.

In that very incident, two other CRPF jawans were injured in the improvised explosive device or IED blast.

The 90 seats of the Chhattisgarh Assembly will vote in two phases – November 12 and November 20.

The Maoist-affected districts of southern Chhattisgarh will vote in the first phase of polling.
