To promote arts and creativity among common people, State Government’s Directorate of Culture and Archeology Raipur is organizing ‘Aakaar’ camp for providing training traditional sculpture and various other artforms, in four divisional headquarters of the state i.e. Raipur, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur (Bastar) and Ambikapur (Sarguja).
This camp is open for people of all age groups- from children to senior citizens.
Culture Department Officials informed today that ‘Aakaar 2018’ camp will be organized at Mahant Ghasidas Museum premise in capital city and divisional headquarters Raipur from May 1 to May 15.
This camp will be organized in Bilaspur from May 15 to May 30, in Jagdalpur from June 1 to June 10, and in Ambikapur from June 1 to June 10. This camp will be held in two shifts- morning 7am to 10am and evening 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
To enroll for ‘Aakaar 2018’, participants wil have to send application to Rajbhasha division of Directorate of Culture and Archaeology (Mahant Ghasidas Museum Premise Raipur). Application should be sent with training fee of Rs 200. Disable participants and children of orphanages will be provided concession in training fee. Trainees will get the certificates after completion of training.
Deputy Director Mr. SSC Kerketta has been appointed as In-charge officer for the training camp to be held in capital city Raipur from May 1 to May 15. In this camp, dhokra art, clay art, Japanese paper cutting, painting, calligraphy, dry flower, mural art, glass painting, rajwar bhitti chitra, bonsai and folk art, classical art, theatre, marshal art (karate) and ‘pattachitra’.
Officials informed that for the ‘Aakaar 2018’ to be held in Bilaspur, Deputy Director (Archaeology) Mr. JR Bhagat has been appointed as In-charge Officer, and his mobile number 97527-46782. In this camp, training of folk dance and classical dance, painting, paira art, rajwar bhitti art, godna, dry flower, clay art, mural art, and chattisgarhi cuisine will be provided.
For the camp to be organized in Jadgalpur, Chairman of Archaeology Museum Mr. Amritlal Paikra has been nominated as in-charge office and his mobile number is 96699-41110. In this camp, paira art, dry flower, bamboo art, folk dance and classical dance, thermocol cutting, mural art, theatre training will be provided.
For ‘Aakaar 2018’ to be held in Ambikapur, Dr KP Verma of Archaeology Department there has been appointed as In-charge officer, and his mobile number is 98264-67474. In this camp, training of rajwar bhitti art, godna, folk dance and classical dance, dry flower, clay art, mural art and para art will be provided.
