Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a visit to restive Bijapur in Bastar of Chhattisgarh, said that the Bastar is changing.
He said that in near future itself, the Bastar’s identity will be that of an economic hub.
Modi, who is here to inaugurate host of key projects, also announced that Bastar will soon have connectivity with Hyderabad, Visakapatnam, Ahmedabad.
He went as far as to claim that this government is for the poor, needy and the downtrodden as well as the backward and tribals.
He launched the first phase of Ayushman Bharat scheme in Jangla of Bijapur and said that efforts will be made to make major changes in primary health-related areas.
Modi asserted that in every major panchayat of the country, sub centers and primary health centers will be developed as a health and wellness center in about 1.5 lakh places.
He also went on to recognize the contributions of Dr BR Ambedkar for India and added that he is Prime Minister of India because of Babasaheb’s contributions.
Modi said that his government has come about to remove the backward tag of the Bijapur.
Prime Minister Modi said,”Ambedkar was highly-educated. If he wanted, he could’ve lived a comfortable life. But he didn’t do so. He studied abroad, but he came back to India and gave his life to serve the poor”.>
