On the occasion of Rashtriya Panchayati Raj Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation’s many Gram Panchayats through live broadcast via Doordarshan and radio.
The address was received across the Gram Panchayats of the state of Chhattisgarh with enthusiasm.
It need be mentioned that Prime Minister’s address was being broadcast from Mandla in Madhya Pradesh.
The Prime Minister appealed the panchayat representatives to pledge and do something special for their villages.
It needs to be an effort on the part of panchayat representatives that government schemes benefit village and the rurals, he said.
He pointed out that Jandhan, Vandhan and Gobardhan are three ways to reform the rural lives.
The Prime Minister also insisted on the need to provide education to the masses in rural setup apart from ensuring roads, health facilities, water availability and employment.>
