Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated India’s first Unified Command and Control Room at Naya Raipur to the public on Thursday.
Before this he arrived at Swami Vivekananda International Airport in Raipur, where he was extended a warm welcome by Chief Minister Raman Singh, his cabinet colleagues and senior BJP leaders.
After briefly exchanging pleasantries, Modi headed for the venue of this program, where he inaugurated the Unified Command Control Room. After this PM Modi took flight for Bhilai on board a helicopter.
He will take part in various programs organized in Bhilai Nagar. In his four hour stay, PM Modi will address a massive gathering at 12.30 pm at the Jayanti Stadium of Bhilai Nagar.
He will also lay the foundation stone of a permanent IIT-Bhilai campus and unveil a plaque to mark the launch of the phase-2 of BharatNet, a project which envisages to connect gram panchayats with underground optical fibre network.
The modernisation of the Bhilai plant includes installation of cutting-edge technologies for improvement in productivity, yield, quality, cost competitiveness, energy efficiency and environmental protection. The prime minister will also inaugurate air services between Jagdalpur and Raipur under his ambitious project ‘UDAAN’. This project is expected to put Bastar on the aviation map of the country.
Modi is also expected to kick start various programs of his government like PM Matri Vandana, Stand up project, Mudra Yojana, Ujjwala program, Chief Minister Abadi Patta Yojana, PM jivan Jyoti Beema Yojna and others.>
