While rising fuel prices have become nation-wide concern, the protests from opposition parties are also not unexpected.

But in a rather unprecedented such protest in Rajnandgaon, the Chhattisgarh Janata Congress (J) workers took to setting on fire a bike.

Led by Mehul Maru, the JCCJ protests were carried out on Tuesday.

The protests started with a rally from Imam chowk to Jaistambh chowk where after the activists set on fire the bike as mark of protest.

Maru said that if the government does not take steps to reduce the fuel prices, they would resort to even intense agitation.

JCCJ protestors also raised slogans against the state and central government.
