Protests intensify against Dunda liquor shop; ruling party workers join in

Such is the momentum of the protests that children of the area are also joining in rather than going about to the school

Protests against the Dunda liquor shop in Chhattisgarh capital Raipur has begun and is intensifying all the more.

What is all the more worrying for the state government is that its own party workers are now opposing the opening of liquor shop.

Such is the momentum of the protests that children of the area are also joining in rather than going about to the school.

Earlier the protests were from Congress and Jogi Congress but now even workers from ruling BJP have joined in to demand that the liquor shops needs to be shut down here and relocated elsewhere.

The political parties in the meantime have reiterated that their protests would continue till the time the liquor shop does not get relocated.

The protests in Dunda area is of special significance as there is a school nearby as well as the residential localities as well.

The protests have earlier also been held outside the Raipur Collectorate but the administration is in no mood to budge.
