noted by the members of social welfare organisation Manas Mandir

The administration in Ballia of Uttar Pradesh has ordered probe into complaints of punishments to students for singing ‘Vande Matram’ and chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.

Most of the complaints are from an aided inter college in Ballia of Uttar Pradesh.

This was noted by the members of social welfare organisation Manas Mandir.

It is said that as they visited the GMAM Inter College on Bilthara Road, the activists found how students singing the song or chanting the slogan were being punished after the school prayers were over.

Not only the students, even the teachers also complained of the same on camera and this was alleged by manager of Manas Mandir, Shiv Kumar Jaiswal.

He further said that Pandey told that one of the students who chanted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai by mistake was made to sit under the sun for hours after the assembly.

Jaiswal has sent a copy of the complaint as well as the video recordings of the statements of students and teachers, to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The principal of the school claimed that is was a conspiracy to defame the institution.
