Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi to organize Cultural Programme from 13th Oct

Folk Art presentations of Majha, Malwa, Doaba & Puadh to lend colour

The Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of the Punjab Kala Parishad would organize a cultural programme named ‘Chahu Kuntan Da Mela’ at the Punjab Kala Bhawan from 13th to 15th October, 2018 at 6 PM daily.

Disclosing this here today, the President of the Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi Mr. Kewal Dhaliwal said that the cultural extravaganza would be inaugurated by the Chairman of the Punjab Kala Parishad Dr. Surjit Patar.

He also said that on all the 3 days the cultural and folk art presentations of the Malwa, Majha, Doaba and Puadh regions of Punjab would lend a mesmerizing colour to the programme.

Disclosing more, he said that on the 13th October Amarjit Gurdaspuri, Mohni Raseela-Rachhpal Raseela duo would regale the art and music lovers with their golden voices besides which the Jhoomar, Giddha, Been-Baja and other cultural forms would also be presented.

On the 14th October, apart from Malwai Giddha, Sammi, Nakal (Ancient art of mimicry), Mukhtiar Zafar and party would also entertain the audience.

On the last day i.e. 15th October, Jagraj Dhaula and party would showcase their talent apart from which the Puadhi Jalsa, Bhangra, Mimicry artists from Hoshiarpur, Luddi, Toombey, Algoze etc. cultural forms would also be presented before the connoisseurs of music.

On the occasion, Vice President of the Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi Dr. Nirmal Jaura and the Secretary Mr. Pritam Rupal were also present.
