Borussia Dortmund’s, Michy Batshuayi has criticised Uefa after it dismissed his allegation of racist chanting during last month’s Europa League tie against Italian side Atlanta.
Batshuayi said after the 1-1 draw that he heard “monkey noises in the stands”.
Uefa fined Atlanta 34,000 euros for fireworks, thrown objects and blocked stairways, but said it had closed racism disciplinary proceedings.
The on-loan Chelsea striker, 24, then tweeted: “LOL. Must be my imagination.”
A further message from the Belgium international said: “Its just monkey noise who cares? 2018 guys …” accompanied by laughing emojis.
Dortmund were also fined 40,000 euros for the setting off of fireworks and objects being thrown during the fixture in Italy.>
