Rahul Gandhi tweets allegations on Narendra Modi app

After the Cambridge Analytica fiasco, in which most of the countries are trying to ascertain as to how much of their people’s data was affected due to the data breach of the Facebook, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi has tweeted that Narendra Modi app also does passes on the data to American companies without the users’ consent.

In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi posted that,“Hi! My name is Narendra Modi. I am India’s Prime Minister. When you sign up for my official App, I give all your data to my friends in American companies”.

Certain sections of the media had also reported on the possibility.

Gandhi’s jibe comes close on the heels of the Cambridge Analytica data leak controversy, where the data analysis firm is at the heart of the case involving alleged breach of Facebook user data.

Rahul Gandhi’s allegation comes at a time when Union Information Technology Ministry has asked the Cambridge Analytica as to whether it had harvested data from the Indian users as well.

The British firm has been given time until March 31 to respond to the notice.
