After Delhi’s Rohini, raids were carried out in Farrukhabad ashram of Baba Virender Dev Dikhsit on Saturday from where 41 girls were rescued.

It need be mentioned that a similar number of girls were rescued from Delhi based ashram as well where Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) played an active role.

The Delhi High Court initiated an inquiry on Tuesday against the Baba’s Rohini ashram after it received “serious allegations” of sexual assault on women and minor girls emerged.

It was also alleged that they were held captive under the garb of providing a spiritual path to enlightenment.

Talking to media persons, DCW chief Swati Maliwal said during the raid conducted by their team and the police, hundreds of letters written by victims to the Baba were found and they all had explicit content.

The girls rescued from Rohini’s Adhyatmik Vishwa Vidyalaya were being force fed a suspected intoxicant to keep them from raising their voice against their sexual exploitation, the DCW revealed.
