Rain lashes parts of Karnataka; CM Kumaraswamy takes stock of situation

With onset of monsoon for Kerala at least three days in advance, heavy rain already lashed in the Karnataka.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, despite not having a cabinet yet, took stock of the situation and directed the district administration to take Coast Guard’s help to rescue people.

He also ordered the necessary precautionary steps be prevent loss of lives, as per the release from the Chief Minister’s Office.

State BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa, who quits two days after he took oath as Chief Minister before a trust vote in the assembly, tweeted his prayers for those hit by the rain and asked fishermen not to venture into the sea.
