Public Works Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat today said that 20 bridges will be built at a cost of Rs 60 crore 80 lakh in Surguja Division. He revealed that Rs 11 crore 36 lakh had been allocated in the fiscal 2018-2019.
He said that the bridge to be built at a cost of Rs 80 lakh on river Hasdeo river will connect Paradol-Tendudand in Surguja district.
Another bridge will link Kodimar-Domnidand will be built at a cost of Rs 80 lakh. Mr. Munat said that Rs 60 lakh had been allocated for bridge over Jhiki Canal in development block Kunkuri district Jashpur on Jokbahala.
About Rs 60 lakh had been set apart for a bridge over Samatiya Canal near village Nagri in development block Bharatpur.
An amount of Rs 40 lakh had been allocated for constructing a bridge over Khadun Canal connecting Sagjhor-Tumla route.
Similarly, a bridge will be built at a cost of Rs 40 lakh connecting Chabda-Rampur main route in Surajpur district.
About Rs 86 lakh had been sanctioned for building a bridge on Mahan River on Ambikapur-Karsi route and Rs 85 lakh to build a bridge linking Sura-Amdarda on Mahan River.
