Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today named the farmers’ dairy project of village Silphili district Surajpur as ‘Pilka-shir’.
He is touring the district as a part of his State-wide ‘Vikaas Yatra’. He also unveiled the logo of the project.
The dairy procures milk from two thousand farmers at the rate of Rs 30 a litre. Dr. Raman Singh wished the project a bright future.
Home Minister Mr. Ramsevak Paikra, Labour Minister Mr. Bhaiyyalal Rajwade, MPs Mr. Kamalbhan Singh, Mr. Ramvichar Netam, MARKFED Chairman Mr. Radhakrishna Gupta, prominent citizens were present.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that development does not mean only laying of roads, construction of bridges and buildings but providing two square meals a day and supplying electricity to the remote corners of State.
Mr. Paikra said that earlier villagers used to refer Chandni-Biharpur district Surajpur as ‘Kaala Pani’ due to lack of transport.
But under the leadership of Dr. Raman Singh there is a rapid development in the far-flung villages during the past 14 years.
All weather roads had been laid under the Prime Minister Rural Roads Project. The scenario had completely altered.>
