Reeling under jaundice outbreak, the people of Raipur Municipal Corporation limits are looking up to the administration to make arrangements and provide them with respite.
The RMC Commissioner Rajat Bansal today inspected the jaundice affected areas of Raipur and apparently scolded two of the officers for their lapses.
The Commissioner then suspended two of the officers and also imposed fine on the contractor.
The two officers fined includes sub-engineer Govind Banjare and Sanitary Inspector Arvind Behara.
It is said that the RMC Commissioner was upset that he could not find Sanitary Inspector Behara on the duty at the time of the inspection though it could not be confirmed.
The RMC Commissioner is already under criticism for being on foreign tour when the Raipur is reeling with massive jaundice problem.
He is said to have inspected the Zone V Commissioner area and also reprimanded Zone Commissioner Hemant Sharma.
He directed the officers to ensure that leakages and pipelines be repaired to ensure that filthy water does not get supplied.>
