Raipur : Road development in Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh to speed up further

Chhattisgarh CM Dr Raman Singh meets Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today expressed his satisfaction over the progress made in construction of roads in Naxal-affected regions of Chhattisgarh and said that the work will speed up further.

He added that the Centre will make sure that none of the areas of Bastar remained undeveloped.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today met Union Home Minister at his residence here and discussed in detail about the progress regarding construction of infrastructure in Naxal-affected areas.

After the meeting the Chief Minister said that the home minister was keen to know about the progress made in construction of roads sanctioned during first and second phases.

The chief minister added that he will start the ‘Vikas Yatra’ in Chhattisgarh on May 11 from Bastar’s Dantewada district.

He also urged the home minister to be a part of this ‘Vikas Yatra’, to which the home minister replied in the affirmative.
