Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh today reviewed the distribution of Rs 393 crore to the farmers under the Prime Minister’s Crops’ Insurance Scheme for Kharif season.
The meeting was held at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan).
CS Ajay Singh instructed the commercial banks to speed up the process of distribution of insurance money to farmers.
Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Department Mr. Sunil Kujur informed the meeting that 12 lakh 94 thousand 189 farmers had been insured under the Prime Minister Crops’ Insurance Scheme for the Kharif season in the entire State.
Senior officers of the Agriculture Department, Insurance Company Reliance, IFFCO-Tokyo representatives and officers of commercial banks were present at the meeting.>
