Dr. Raman Singh : Government College will be renamed Shaheed Kamlu Kumhar college

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that the common citizens want only development. They demand good roads, bridges, schools-colleges, hospitals, regular supply of electricity and irrigation facilities.

Chief Minister was addressing a massive public meeting at village Durgakondal district Kanker this afternoon as a part of State-wide Vikaas Yatra.

The policies and programmes of the State Government are meant for the socio-economic betterment of masses. Chief Minister dedicated, laid foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomipujan’ of 18 developmental works worth Rs 37 crore 32 lakh.

Dr. Raman Singh said that paddy bonus worth Rs 65 crore had been transferred into the accounts of 48 thousand farmers bank accounts Online.

He also revealed that the State Government College will be re-named as Shaheed Kamlu Kumar Government College soon.

He also sanctioned the construction of a boundary wall at the Community Health Centre. He said that work on the construction of a bridge over river Kotri on Kode-Kurse road. It will be built at a cost of Rs Six crore.

Dr. Raman Singh also sanctioned a passenger waiting hall at Durgakendal and sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for gymnasium at Bhanupratapur.

Chief Minister said that the State Government had formulated several social-welfare schemes during the past 15 years and had been implemented successfully.

The fruits of development are all visible. Prayas Schools had been established in Adivasi-dominated districts and they are very successful.

The students of the region are getting admissions into all-India Medical, Engineering, I.I.Ts, and other elite institutes.

They are becoming administrative officers. He gave details of various programmes of the State Government and Central also.

The subsidized rice scheme, free distribution of Iodized salt and grams at Rs Five a kilogram will never be discontinued. Forest Minister Mr. Mahesh Gaagda, MP Mr. Vikram Usendi, MLA Mr. Bhojraj Nag and several prominent personalities were also present.
