Nearly 8 lakh 30 thousand standard sacks of tendupatta worth nearly Rs 20742.11 lakh have been collected in more than 10 thousand collection centres under 916 primary forest cooperative societies of Chhattisgarh.
From Bastar to Sarguja, tendupatta from 31 forest division of the state is being collected. Incoming of maximum number of sacks i.e. 70 thousand standard sacks has been collected in Gariaband forest division.
Officials of Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Union Limited Raipur informed that under Jagdalpur circle, 65 thousand 238 standard sacks of tendupatta have been collected in Bijapur forest division, 32 thousand 206 standard sacks in Sukma, 13 thousand 62 standard sacks in Dantewada, and 22 thousand 919 standard sacks have been collected in Jagdalpur.
Under Kander circle, 19 thousand 839 standard sacks of tendupatta have been collected in South Kondagaon, 20 thousand 434 standard sacks in Narayanpur, 22 thousand 240 standard sacks in East Bhanupratappur, 45 thousand 557 standard sacks in West Bhanupratappur, and 30 thousand 274 standard sacks have been collected in Kanker.
Likewise in Durg circle, 48 thousand 294 standard sacks of tendupatta have been collected in Rajnandgaon, 23 thousand 799 standard sacks in Khairagarh, 19 thousand 725 standard sacks in Balod, 20 thousand 531 standard sacks in Kawardha.
In Raipur circle, 24 thousand 455 standard sacks of tendupatta in Dhamtari, 69 thousand 912 standard sacks of tendupatta in Gariaband, 67 thousand 350 standard sacks in Mahasamund, 12 thousand 977 standard sacks in Balodabazar.
Under Bilaspur circle, 15 thousand 736 standard sacks in Bilaspur forest division, two thousand 259 standard sack in Marwahi, 5 thousand 807 standard sacks in Janjgir-Champa, 42 thousand 26 standard sacks in Raigarh, 47 thousand 508 standard sacks in Dharamjaigarh, 25 thousand 282 standard sacks in Korba, and 31 thousand 981 standard sacks of tendupatta leaves in Katghora.
Under Sarguja circle, 23 thousand 85 standard sacks of tendupatta have been collected in Jashpurnagar forest division, four thousand standard sacks have been collected in Manendragarh, 12 thousand 220 standard sacks in Koriya, seven thousand 625 standard sacks in Sarguja, nine thousand 51 standard sacks in Balrampur, 14 thousand 460 standard sacks of tendupatta have been collected in Surajpur till date.
The state had the target of collecting 16 lakh 71 thousand 700 standard sacks of tendupatta in 2018 season, nearly 50% of which has already been achieved.>
