Rajasthan HC ,asks govt to deal strictly with striking doctors

The Rajasthan High Court, today directed the state government to deal with the in-service Doctors who are on strike with an iron hand.

The division bench of Rajasthan High Court headed by Chief Justice Pradeep Nand Rajong and D C somani today allowed the state government to apprehend the doctors under the law and even under the Rajasthan Maintenance of Essential Services act 1970.

The order came on a PIL filed by an advocate of Rajasthan High Court Dr Abhinav Sharma.

He had requested the Chief Justice on Saturday to take up the matter on urgent basis looking at the fact that the agitating doctors have called a Maha bandh of medical services which included private medical hospitals as well on 25th of December.

The doctors of the state are on strike again after an agreement arrived earlier between them on 12 November 2017.

State health Minister Kalicharan Saraf had held a press conference earlier stating that the entire charter of demands raised by the agitating doctor has already been complied with and this will cost 150 crore rupees on the state exchequer.
