With election season fast approaching, the pressure of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya too is growing.
It is in this context that the former Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentarian and senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ram Vilas Vedanti claimed that Ram temple will be built by a mutual consensus.
Interestingly, he ruled out the need for an ordinance on this issue.
This comes in sharp contrast as members of the Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangh (RSS), only recently, had urged the Union government to make a law on the construction of Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
The matter though pending before the Supreme Court, is widely being debated.
While Uttar Pradesh Adityanath termed it as an injustice to the Hindus of the country, BJP MP Subramaniam Swamy pitched for an ordinance to force the matter out of the court’s hands. >
