Raman Singh cabinet makes two crucial decisions; here they are
The Raman Singh cabinet meeting concluded today with two major decisions.
State has decided to spend Rs 600 crores for mobile connectivity and it is said that some of this money will also be given to private mobile players.
It is said that since the government aims to disburse 55 lakh mobiles to the people, the connectivity factor is crucial which is where this corpus will be spent.
The funds will be arranged from 14 th Finance Commission.
An estimated Rs 30 lakh each would be spent on providing mobile tower connectivity to each Gram Panchayat of Chhattisgarh.
In another crucial decision, the state cabinet has also approved creation of three more DG posts in state police to pave way for three officers Sanjay Pillai, RK Vij and Mukesh Gupta as next DGs of state police.
It is also speculated that although both of these proposals were tabled before the cabinet and passed, some of the Ministers had registered their objections to these proposals.
They argued that while there is set parameter for funds received from 14 th Finance Commission to be spent, there are also several objections to the creation of new posts as according to the central government.>
