Reliance Jio, Emerged as the top telecom service provider in terms of Gross revenue at Rs 772.7 crore in the second quarter in MPCG.
Reliance Jio adds highest subscribers in MPCG in the month of September, TRAI reports
Reliance Jio Infocomm has added a whopping 19.1 lakh new subscriber in MPCG in the month of September, whereas, rivals Bharti Airtel, Idea and Vodafone lost subscribers in the month, as per TRAI latest subscriber data report.
According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, only Jio was able to add subscribers in September. As on September 30, 2018, the total number of telecom subscriber base in MPCG stands at 1.87 crore.
The service area saw a net addition of 7.26 Lacs subscribers in September, the data shows.
Bharti Airtel has 1.58 Crore, Jio has 1.87 Crore, Vodafone has 55.98 Lacs, Idea has 2.82 Crore and BSNL has 60.1 Lacs subscribers by the end of September in the service area, the report added.
Worth mentioning here that, with Gross revenue of Rs.772 Crore, Reliance Jio has achieved 37.6 percent revenue market share in MPCG during the July-September period of 2018, as per the other TRAI report on revenue.
Reliance Jio’s revenue market share during the quarter was followed by Vodafone Idea with Rs 735 crore (35.8 percent), Airtel with Rs 462 crore (22.5 percent), BSNL with Rs 53.7 crore (2.6 percent).
Reliance Jio has also emerged as the top telecom service provider in the country in terms of Gross revenue (GR) at Rs 772.7 crore for the July-September quarter, according to Trai data.
Jio led Gross Revenue market share in 3 out of 22 telecom circles, Airtel in 10 and Vodafone Idea in 9 telecom circles, the data showed.>
