Richa Jogi demands prompt probe into allegations on NSUI national president

She said that police cannot be complacent in the matter

With revelation that a Bhilai based NSUI woman leader has alleged exploitation at the hands of party’s national President Feroze Khan, the daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister has demanded proper inquiry.

Richa Jogi, wife of MLA Amit Jogi and daughter-in-law of the former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, termed the allegation as extremely serious.

She said that police cannot be complacent in the matter.

Richa Jogi has also questioned the silence on the part of Congress leaders on this issue.

She said that it would not be acceptable that the woman complainant is pressurized to withdraw her complaint.

She said that it is of paramount importance that justice is done in this case because it is episodes like these that would ensure women’s participation in the polity.

Meanwhile Jogi’s party activists also took to burning the effigies of the NSUI national President as mark of protest.

Congress on its part has assured timely and prompt action and has even constituted a committee to probe the allegations.

Despite the allegations, Feroze Khan has rubbished the allegations.
