Ruling AIADMK inaugurates Amma Wi Fi zones across fiven cities of state

Aimed at wooing the youth of the state, the ruling AIADMK rolled out Amma Wi Fi zones in five cities of the Tamil Nadu.

Amma, it be known, is how Tamil Nadu remembers late J Jayalalithaa, former Chief Minister of state.

The scheme had been announced by Jayalalithaa in September 2016.

The state government back then had promised Wi-Fi zones in 50 spots including in larger bus terminals, parks and commercial complexes.

Chief Minister K Palaniswami launched the initiative himself.

Amma Free Wi-Fi zones have been set up at the Labour Statue at Marina here, Central Bus stands at Salem and Tiruchirappalli, Gandhipuram Bus Stand in Coimbatore and Mattu Thavani Bus Stand in Madurai, a state government press release said.
