Sensing an engine snag, a Russian airline flight with more than 300 passengers on board made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Saturday.
The airport officials said that the landing had to be done in view of the pilots detecting a snag in one of its engines.
The ATC officials informed that they declared full emergency for a non-scheduled flight ABG-8772 of Royal Flight airline.
Since the plane was close to the national capital Delhi, the plane was diverted there.
The airport thus also rushed in its arsenal of fire tenders, ambulances and medical staff to tackle any untoward situation.
The flight had originated from Vietnam and headed towards Yekaterinburg city in Russia.>
