Salman Khan pronounced guilty in black buck poaching case; sentence pending

Amid the anxieties in the fans, a Jodhpur court on Thursday finally pronounced the Bollywood actor Salman Khan guilty in a case related to blackbuck poaching filed against him in 1998.

The court also pronounced other accused in the case namely Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Tabu as acquitted from the case.

It need be mentioned that Salman Khan has been accused of killing two blackbucks in September, 1998 in Kankani village, Jodhpur, during the shooting of film “Hum Saath Saath Hain”.

It is said that the Salman’s lawyer has pleaded for minimal sentence for the actor.

Salman Khan would have to seek bail from the High Court if the sentence is more than three years in the case.

It need be recalled at the time that a complaint had been registered by the Bishnoi community of Rajasthan on October 2 of 1998 that the actors hunted down two blackbucks during the filming of the movie.
