The Revenue Department officials must pull their socks up to clear all mutations and pending cases in revenue courts.
This is the diktat of Revenue Minister Mr Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, who has ordered a day-to-day hearing of all pending cases, which are one to two years old.
The department has prepared an annual report of the cases pending in the Revenue Courts -right from the top to the Naib-Tehsildar level- from June 6, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
Placing efficiency and zero-pendency high on the agenda, he warned the officials against any act of negligence.
Calling for a quick remedy to solve the grievances of the people, Mr Sarkaria ordered the clearance of Khasra Girdawari cases pending at various levels within six months so that it could be incorporated in the revenue record (Girdawari) on time.
According to the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-FCR, Mr MP Singh, cases of Lambardari, Mutations whether uncontested/contested or under appeal, Section 47-A Stamp Act, Demarcation, Partition and Khasra Girdawari are pending in various revenue courts, some of these cases are even two or more years old.
He directed the officers concerned to expedite the process for speedy disposal of the pending revenue cases.
He also told the revenue officials working under his command that they should not only decide the cases meticulously, but also get the final orders on the file and they must be consigned in the record rooms timely, so that the aggrieved persons, if any, could get copies of the same for further appeal, review or revision.>
