As the world took notice of the Saudi teenager, who fled to Thailand and claiming to be fearful of her family, it is now reported that she has quit the microblogging site Twitter.
It is said that she had been receiving a lot of death threats.
But as it became clearer that Thailand is in no hurry to deport her back to Saudi Arabia, it is not clear as to which country would grant her asylum.
Identified as Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, aged 18 yrs old, arrived in Thailand on Saturday and was initially denied entry.
She soon started posting messages on Twitter from the transit area of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport.
Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne said on Thursday Australia was assessing whether to grant Qunun asylum.
