Conceding that the papers did leak, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the re-exam for class 10 Mathematics paper will be conducted only for students who appeared for the exam at centres in Delhi and Haryana.
However, even this decision of the Board has run into controversies as many of the people have already begun venting out on the social media that how can something leaked on Whatsapp could have remained confined to limits of Delhi and Haryana.
But the HRD Ministry school education Secretary Anil Swaroop announced that Economics re-exam will be held in April itself even as the cancelled Maths paper exam may be organized in July.
Secretary Anil Swaroop also asserted that there had been no paper leak outside of India and hence no re-examination will be held in those exam centres.
He also said that the decision has been taken by the board keeping the convenience of students in mind.
CBSE had on March 29 itself conducted mock drills to test a new method to deliver question paper to exam centres.
