Yet another major success came the way of Indian security forces as they were able to down the second in command of top terrorist Zakir Moosa’s outfit.
The forces were able to neutralise the terrorist in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir.
Identified as Shakir Hassan Dar, he was said to be the deputy chief of J&K-based Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind terror outfit with reported links to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
The terrorist was killed by the security forces in an encounter in Tral, in Pulwama district.
The security forces had set up a cordon in the Hafoo Reshipora area of Tral after getting specific inputs about the presence of terrorists.
As the terrorists opened fire on the security forces and that resulted in a gunfight.
Security forces have also recovered arms and ammunition along with some documents from the encounter site.
As per sources, Shakir was a part of Zakir Moosa group of terrorists and had a long history of terror crime records since 2015.>
