The brutality against women just does not seem to stop.
Now, the latest case that has emerged in the public domain is that of a Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) jawan allegedly killed his wife by electrocuting her private parts.
The brutality came about after the jawan suspected her of infidelity in Chhattisgarh’s Balodabazar-Bhatapara district.
Police sources said that when Laxmi was washing clothes in the bathroom, Suresh Miri went inside and started beating her.
The beating continued till the time she fell unconscious after which Miri passed electric current to her private parts with the help of a live wire leading to her death on the spot, police said.
The accused has confessed to his crime before the police.
The accused is Suresh Miri is a cook with the VIth battalion of the CAF in Dantewada district.
Police also said that the Miri later informed the in-laws that Laxmi had taken ill and took the body in a van to his native village Khajri in the neighbouring Mungeli district.
He had claimed that the wife had died of illness.>
