Seven rakes of urea reach Madhya Pradesh, supply to speed up within 2 days

Agriculture and Cooperatives Department field staff instructed to keep an eye on supply

Continuous supply of urea to the farmers is being ensured during sowing in Rabi season in state. Urea rakes are continuously reaching the fixed points.

Instructions have been given to the field staff of the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development to ensure smooth distribution of urea to the farmers.

Seven rakes of urea have reached and these are being distributed in the respective districts.

Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath had spoken over phone to Union Minister for Railways Shri Piyush Goyal and Fertilizer and Chemicals Minister Shri Sadanand Gowda regarding constant supply of urea following which the supply of urea to the state has accelerated.

So far, one lakh 82 thousand metric tonnes of urea has reached the state. About 37 thousand metric tonnes of urea is reaching the state soon.

The Chambal Fertilizer Plant of Kota and National Fertilizer Plant of Guna have been asked to supply urea to Madhya Pradesh on priority basis.

The East and West Port of the country has also been asked to give priority to the supply of urea in place of DAP. With this, the supply of urea in Madhya Pradesh will further accelerate.

About 2 thousand 700 metric tonnes of urea has reached Mandideep rake point of the state. It is being distributed in Raisen, Bhopal and Sehore districts.

Three thousand and 17 metric tonnes of urea has reached Guna rake point and is being distributed in Guna and Ashoknagar district.

One thousand and 951 metric tonnes of urea that has reached Khandwa rake point is being distributed to farmers of Khandwa, Burhanpur and Badwani districts.

Apart from this, 2600 metric tonne urea will soon be reaching Gwalior, 3139 metric tonne in Harpalpur, 3194 metric tonne in Khandwa, 2600 metric tonne in Satna, 8744 metric tonne in Mandideep, 5550 metric tonne in Chhindwara, 2730 metric tonne in Itarsi, 3001 metric tonne in Harda, 3001 metric tonne in Shajapur and 2750 metric tonne in Jhukehi rake point.

This urea will be distributed among farmers of Gwalior, Datia, Morena, Chhatarpur, Raisen, Bhopal, Sehore, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Badwani, Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli, Chhindwara, Seoni, Hoshangabad, Harda, Dewas, Shajapur, Aagar, Rajgarh, Katni, Shahdol, Umaria and Anuppur districts.
