Several people lose lives as building collapses in Indore

In an unfortunate incident, as many as ten people including two women died when a three-story building collapsed near the Sarvate Bus stand in Indore.

The building is said to be dilapidated condition and the collapse also resulted in injuring of two other people.

The building housed MS Hotel, a lodge-cum-eatery.

Police sources said that the building collapsed as it was around 60 years old and in poor condition.

There are two women among the dead, it was informed.

The most outrageous thing being reported is that the building came down after being hit by a speeding car.

This has however not been confirmed by the police.

Police said while the rescue operation was still underway.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of deceased, and Rs. 50,000 each for those injured.

He also tweeted his condolences on the mishap.
