Shikhar Dhawan cries ‘foul’ on Emirates; heres why; and what did the airline had to say
Host of people tweeting their anger or frustration against airline service is fast becoming normal. However, when celebrities do it, its altogether different ballgame.
In on such incident, cricket sensation Shikhar Dhawan tweeted his frustration about how his family was not allowed to board Emirates airlines.
Dhawan, part of the Indian cricket team which has landed in South Africa on a two-month tour, flew the airline from Mumbai to Cape Town via Dubai.
Shikhar Dhawan was travelling with wife Ayesha and kids. He was upset his family could not take the same flight out of Dubai.
So then the cricket superstar had no option but to share his agony on tweets. He did a series of tweets to say his family members were stopped by Emirates staff at the Dubai airport for not producing birth certificates or other documents for identification for the children.
Ayesha and the kids will now have to wait before they can join the India opener.
However, the airline quickly took to damage control after taking note of the Shikhar Dhawan’s complaint and promised to look into it. >
