Uttar Pradesh is emerging to be hotbed of political activity with all political parties wanting to showcase their best performances in the state to be able to have a say in future government formation at the center.
It is in this context that Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief Shivpal Yadav formed a political front, named Progressive Democratic Alliance (PDA).
Shivpal’s party will collaborate with Peace Party, Krishna Patel’s faction of Apna Dal.
Yadav said that other parties part of this front includes Ittehad-e-Millat Council, Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party, former PDP leader Sunil Singh.
There are 80 Lok Sabha seats at stake in Uttar Pradesh, polling for which will be held in all seven phases of the elections starting April 11.
