Singhdeo dares Raman Singh to contest poll from Patan or even Ambikapur; after BJP took potshots
After former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi announced contesting against incumbent Chief Minister Raman Singh from Rajnandgaon constituency, now the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader TS Singhdeo has also come forward to throw a challenge.
Singhdeo said that while he would not like to be dictated as to where he or Bhupesh Baghel need to contest their assembly election from, perhaps Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh should shift to either Ambikapur (currently held by TS Singhdeo himself) or Patan (held by Bhupesh Baghel now) for upcoming assembly election.
This came after the BJP questioned as to why Congress is not inviting Ajit Jogi to the constituency of Bhupesh Baghel or even that of TS Singhdeo.
The jist of this political attack is that BJP wants to project Jogi’s party as proxy for Congress party.
Thus the BJP has now begun demanding why Congress senior leadership are not intent on inviting challenge from Ajit Jogi in the upcoming assembly poll.
It needs to be mentioned how the three political parties project each other as proxies of others ahead of the assembly poll later this year.
