Sisodia made Chhattisgarh proud at Commonwealth Games: Dr. Raman Singh

It may be mentioned here that Mr. Vikram is Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister. Dr. Raman Singh said that Mr. Sisodia represented the country as Chief-de-Mission at the Commonwealth Games

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today felicitated Chief-de-Mission of Commonwealth Games Mr. Vikram Sisodia by presenting him a shawl and coconut at Mantralaya.

It may be mentioned here that Mr. Vikram is Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister. Dr. Raman Singh said that Mr. Sisodia represented the country as Chief-de-Mission at the Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast Australia recently.

It was a proud moment for Chhattisgarh and in particular for Mr. Sisodia. India stood Third in the Medals’ tally which exhibits the leadership qualities of Mr. Sisodia. The experience of this official helped Chhattisgarh also. Chief Minister wished him a bright future.

Sports Minister Mr. Bhaiiyalal Rajwade, Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Mr. Aman Kumar Singh, Secretaries to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh and Mr. M. K. Tyagi Sports Department Secretary Mr. R. Prasanna, Public Relations Department Special Secretary Mr. Rajesh Kumar Toppo and senior officials of Sports Department were also present.

Mr. Aman Kumar Singh said representing the nation at International sports’ events is very challenging. One has to struggle even for trivial issues. Mr. Sisodia performed his duties with rare aplomb so as to sportspersons focus only on the games. The performance of India at Commonwealth Games was spectacular. India had bagged 66 medals in all.

Mr. Sisodia popularized Tennis in Chhattisgarh as head of the State Tennis Association. Tennis courts have been developed in all the district headquarters and made it popular in the districts.

Mr. Vikram Sisodia expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister. He added that there is a positive environment for sports in the State due to leadership of Dr. Raman Singh.

The sportspersons felt proud when the Tri-colour was flying at the inaugural and concluding ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games. He will forever remember the historic moments.
