Slipper hurled at Chief Minister, then this happened

accused has been identified himself as Chandan, police said.

In a shocking incident, a man hurled a slipper in the direction of the podium where Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar was seated.

Nitish Kumar was seated alongside senior party leaders at the podium then.

It is said that while the slipper fell short of reaching stage, the party supporters took the offence and began to slap, punch and kick the accused.

The accused has been identified himself as Chandan, police said.

Police later whisked away the accused Chandan.

The occasion was of a ‘Chhatra Samagam’ organised by the JD(U) at Bapu Sabhagar auditorium.

The event had been organized to mark the birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan.
