<p>With sanitary pads becoming the main narrative these days in terms of women empowerment debate ever since the film ‘PadMan’ came out, yet another major achievement emerged when Indian Jute Industries Research Association (IJIRA) announced low cost sanitary pads.</p>
<p>This was also applauded by Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani today who also urged them to help promote women entrepreneurship.</p>
<p>The Minister was addressing a IJIRA technical seminar when she made the comment.</p>
<p>She said as the machinery requirement for the jute-based sanitary napkins will cost about Rs 10 lakhs and entrepreneurs can benefit from MUDRA loan scheme of the government.</>
