How to Prepare for SSC CPO: Tips and Tricks

Along with the above SSC CPO study plan, there are a few strategies and tactics that help make the most out of it. Take a look at the following points so that you can answer the ‘How to prepare for SSC CPO?’ in the manner that suits your strengths.

  • The above-mentionedSSC CPO preparation plan is not carved in stone and you are free to adjust its sections according to your interests and strong/weak areas. Move what your preferred ones to Week 1 so that you are refreshed with it at the earliest. Moreover, you can combine your study with online resources such as tutorials, tests feedback, refresher courses and much more.
  • Time Management: Section-wise, you have only 30 minutes per section of 50 questions on the SSC CPO question paper. This leaves you with an uphill task of managing one question every 36 seconds. Stick to this rule and skip on to the next question as soon as you reach that limit.
  • Revision: As demarcated in the above plan, start revising topics well before the exam, ideally 8-10 days or at least in the last week if you are short on time. Attempt full-length sample SSC CPO question paper, solve advanced level exercises and repeatedly test your memory in terms of formulae and techniques. As for revision during the exam, leave around 4-5 minutes per section for revisiting the tough questions, re-solve lengthy calculation, catch silly mistakes and human errors amongst others.
  • Starting Approach: With no section having a weightage advantage in the SSC CPO question paper, it is better to start with the General Intelligence and Reasoning section as it typically has an easy difficulty level. After that, either move on to English Language or Quantitative Aptitude. We prefer English as it is time-intensive or else you can go for QA. Then, begin the QA definitely if you have not done so. Lastly, General Awareness which is largely fact-based should be done 15-20 minutes easily.

Finding the right answer to ‘How to prepare for SSC CPO?’ question is not so difficult if you have faith in yourself and remain positive. All the best and ace your exam.
