In what appears to be a case of one-sided love, a man vehemently stabbed an 18-yr-old girl in a Greater Noida shopping mall.
The girl had earlier complained to her parents about someone stalking her and the parents not only arranged for her to be conveyed to and fro from her job in an auto, they also met the stalker and threatened to file police complaint.
The victim has been identified as Khushboo and worked in the mall itself, most possibly in a beauty products shop.
As per police report, the stalker on the fateful day urged her to talk to her at a secluded spot in the mall itself.
Certain eyewitnesses described that the stalker, identified as Kuldeep, forcefully held her hand during the conversation and not letting her go.
Perhaps as she screamed to get help, he began to stab her brutally, as per police version.
The incident took place even when the nearest police outpost is 100 metres from the crime spot.
Just when the people thought they could not help the woman as the stalker had knife in his hands, they tipped off the police.
The police arrived timely and Kuldeep found himself trapped after which he also stabbed himself.
While the two were rushed to the hospital, the girl died while the boy is said to be still in danger medically.
Police have booked Kuldeep for murder.
